Technical data and features
The technical specifications of the Lofree Block keyboard summarize a compact 98-key layout with 13 multifunction keys and a choice of 4 or 8 degree typing angles. The linear MX-compatible switch design is based on the Lofree × TTC Block Switch and supports hot-swap and N-key rollover. White LED lighting with 14 modes complements the functionality. The housing is made of ABS, the dye-sub PBT caps have a matt, resistant surface, while a POM stem stabilizes the switch mechanism.
The connection can be made via Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4 GHz or USB-C, whereby up to three devices can be paired. The keyboard is compatible with Windows, macOS, Android, iPadOS and iOS. With a 2000 mAh battery, it lasts up to 80 hours and takes around three hours to charge.
The structure

The full POM switches used in the Block are specially designed to create a smooth and pleasant typing experience. They are of a linear design and therefore enable a smooth key stroke without a noticeable pressure point. With a total stroke width of 3.8 millimetres and an advance of 1.6 millimetres, they respond quickly and in a controlled manner. The release force is 43 grams, while the keystroke ends at 50 grams, which relieves the fingers even during longer typing sessions. A 22 millimeter long spring supports the movement and ensures smooth resetting behavior.
The gold-plated contacts and dual electroplated pin design are designed to increase durability and ensure reliable signal transmission over time. Developed in collaboration with TTC, these switches aim to provide a particularly smooth typing feel while ensuring high durability so that every stroke is consistent and clean.

The keycaps
The keycaps are made of dye-sub PBT, a durable plastic known for its matt surface and long service life. Thanks to the dye-sublimation process, the lettering remains permanently sharp and hardly wears off even with regular use. The keys feel non-slip and retain their structure without becoming greasy over time.

2 Knobs
We have a volume knob and a mode knob. I think they are really well done and fit in well with the overall design. Furthermore, the Hypace mouse, for example, also uses the same color for the side buttons. They feel good and sit tight and don’t wobble around.

The connectivity
According to the manufacturer and several test reports, the Block keyboard clearly supports Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and 2.4 GHz wireless. The official product page explicitly confirms Bluetooth 5.0 and the ability to pair up to three devices. AppleInsider also clearly describes the Bluetooth function and mentions pairing via the name Block98@Lofree .

Of course also Win/Mac compatible. The dongle is well placed at the top left opposite the switch. The color and design of the displays match the board well.

The battery
The Block keyboard has an integrated 2000 mAh lithium battery, which is designed for long periods of use and makes everyday life noticeably easier. With a runtime of up to 80 hours, it lasts for around six to eight weeks, depending on use, before recharging is necessary. This means that the keyboard remains reliably ready for use even when frequently changing devices or working on the move and supports longer writing phases without interruptions. The constant power supply ensures that creative or productive processes are not disrupted and that the keyboard responds immediately whenever it is needed.
