The Skyfall MAG Ultima 8K Wireless is a modern gaming keyboard with magnetic Hator Aurum Ice switches that offer individually adjustable trigger sensitivity. It supports an extremely high polling rate of up to 8000 Hz, both in wired and wireless mode. 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB-C are available for connection. The integrated battery offers 8000 mAh capacity in both the 65 and 80 percent versions and ensures a runtime of up to 533 hours without lighting. The RGB lighting is customizable per button, and the board features gasket-mount construction, hot-swap support, a multi-layered damping system, a multimedia controller and a 0.85-inch TFT display. At 354 × 140 × 43 mm and weighing 1040 g, it is compact, stable and versatile.

Hator Skyfall Pro Wireless

The Skyfall Pro Wireless relies on linear Hator Aurum Vanila Silent Switches with a lifespan of 50 million keystrokes. It offers a polling rate of 1000 Hz and tri-mode connectivity via 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB-C. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh for the 65 percent model and 8000 mAh for the larger versions (80 and 100 percent). Here too, each button can be individually customized with RGB lighting. The board has a hot-swap function, gasket-mount construction, multi-layered noise damping and a TFT display (0.85 inch for 65/80 Pro and 1.14 inch for the 100 Pro version). The Skyfall Pro is aimed at users who are looking for a quiet, comfortable and versatile keyboard with solid technology and an elegant design.

The case – both keyboards

Both the Hator Skyfall MAG Ultima 8K Wireless and the Skyfall Pro Wireless have a robust plastic casing that makes a very high-quality impression despite the material. Both models appear stable, torsion-resistant and cleanly finished.

The surfaces are finely textured, which gives the keyboards an elegant finish and reduces fingerprints. Overall, both boards give a solid, durable impression and show that plastic cases can certainly look high-quality if the workmanship and design are right.

The setup – MAG Ultima 8K and Skyfall Pro

The gasket-mount architecture of the Hator Skyfall MAG Ultima 8K Wireless ensures a particularly smooth typing feel with a dampened, vibration-free sound. There are several elastic sealing points between the housing base and the mounting plate, which cushion the touch and effectively absorb vibrations. Hand-lubricated POM stabilizers, PC Plate for strong backlighting and sound, A Poron Foam that lies between the plate and PCB, An IXPE damping pad for softer keystrokes, A Pet-PAd, for the acoustics, Hot Spwap Socket PCB, A Poron Foam under the PCB and finally a silicone pad under the PCB. The structure is the same for both.

The switches – MAG Ultima 8K

The magnetic Hator Aurum Ice switches are lubricated at the factory and allow you to customize each keystroke for maximum precision and comfort. Dynamic Key Stroke allows you to set up to four actions per key, depending on how deep or shallow it is pressed. The press-and-click function allows two actions to be assigned to one key, a short press triggers one, a longer hold another. The toggle switch mode enables automatic actuation, such as permanent hold or repeated triggering without pressing the button again. Snap key technology uses intelligent dual-key logic to ensure that the last key pressed is always recognized, which significantly shortens the response time. With the Rapid Trigger, the keys reactivate after just 0.01 millimetres of movement, which ensures an extremely direct and precise typing feel.

The keycaps for both keyboards

The PBT Doubleshot OMA keycaps in the Hator Skyfall series are designed for durability and resistance. Thanks to the complex Doubleshot process, in which the lettering and key body consist of two separate plastic layers, the symbols do not wear off even with intensive use and remain clearly legible over the long term. The PBT material used is particularly resistant to gloss formation, heat and wear, thus ensuring a durable, high-quality surface.

The OMA profile also offers a pleasant typing experience with a balanced key height and ergonomic shape. The lettering is highly translucent, allowing the RGB lighting to highlight the symbols clearly and evenly – even in subdued ambient light. Overall, the keycaps give a high-quality, robust impression and are ideal for users who value durability and clear, even illumination. And a nice ESC button is also included.

The TFT screen – both keyboards

The integrated TFT display and the multifunctional rotary control give you full control over every detail at all times. This allows system information to be displayed, lighting effects to be adjusted or audio settings to be controlled directly. The double-injected PBT keycaps ensure a long service life and retain their clear lettering even with intensive daily use. Both keyboards also have a nice knob. Turning is clear and crisp with a strong, clear pressure point.
