HDR performance
HDR works equally well/badly with both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards – depending on how you rate it. The monitor achieves up to 1000 nits with a two percent window, which the manufacturer also complies with. I have prepared the three main HDR profiles – True Black 400, Console HDR and Dynamic HDR for you.

Console HDR
Dynamic HDR
Those who value the best possible color fidelity should select True Black 400 mode. Those who prefer maximum brightness have a choice – but with compromises. Either the panel dimming takes effect at high APL or details are lost in dark scenes (“crashed shadows”). It remains to be seen whether Samsung will ever get the panel dimming problem under control. The focus currently seems to be on energy efficiency rather than maximum brightness. Current QD OLED televisions show that more is possible – albeit with a significantly larger panel area and therefore less problematic in terms of the issue of heat flux density.
Well, that’s all for today. Last page…
