Color performance after a full software calibration
Now I’m correcting – as far as I can – the nonsense that AOC has left here in the OSD. Unfortunately, the sRGB and DCI-P3 modes are locked in the OSD, so my only option is to adjust the RGB balance in the wide gamut and calibrate the software.
OSD Setting D65 @ 200 Nits
In the OSD Game Setting set to off, under Color Setup set the Color Gamut to Native, Color Temp. to User and then apply the RGB settings as shown in the picture. Set the brightness to 85 (for 200 nits full white) and the white point and RGB balance will be correct. The software has to do the rest.
Full calibration with Calman Ultimate
I think the results speak for themselves, so there’s no need for any further narrative on my part.
Spectral distribution and “Eye-Safe”
Today we have the usual QD-OLED spectral image again.
Spectral distribution @ D65, 200 Nits (100 % White Window)
The peak here is at 638 nm – i.e. in the red light spectrum. In terms of eye-safe, the blue light component in the peak is around 455 nm. Unfortunately, I cannot say with certainty to what extent this can already be described as eye-safe. If necessary, the blue light component can be reduced in the OSD, but be careful, this is at the expense of color accuracy.
Uniformity
As always, the viewing angles are outstanding and the picture uniformity is unrivaled with QD OLED. There really is nothing to complain about.
Image errors and other issues
Apart from the weaknesses I pointed out in this article – I could not find any other problems.
Sound reproduction
The built-in speakers of the AG326UD are ok for emergencies. However, they can in no way compete with a good headset and certainly not with a sound system. The jack connection also works.
Webcam and microphone
Are not installed. This brings us to the topic of HDR.
