Processing and mobility
The PG27AQDP comes in the now classic ASUS design and very good workmanship. The LG OLED panel is cooled fanlessly via a passive heatsink – I couldn’t hear any disturbing noises. The monitor also offers all ergonomic features: Height adjustment, tilt, swivel and portrait (pivot). The panel comes with a matt coating – so it’s not glossy! Personally, I can live with both, but many people like glossy more than matt.
Connectors, cables and accessories
Unfortunately, there is no USB-C port and no KVM switch, I can say that in advance. Nevertheless, you get 1x DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC and 2x HDMI 2.1 with 48 Gbit/s. That’s easily enough. If you like to connect your mouse and keyboard to the monitor, you can also do this with the PG27AQDP. After all, there are 2x USB-A and 1x USB-B on the back. All the cables you need are included: 1x HDMI, 1x DP, 1x USB-B to USB-A and the external power supply unit.
OSD
In the ASUS ROG OSD menu you will find various other things in addition to the white dot settings, such as crosshairs, shadow booster, OLED care, etc. Everyone can decide for themselves to what extent a crosshair that automatically adjusts its color to the background is AI.
Software
This topic should also be familiar to you, as you can control the PG27AQDP via software. You can find the software on the ASUS ROG homepage.
