Summary
The MSI MPG321URX QD-OLED is convincing in many respects and is an excellent choice for demanding users. With its QD-OLED panel, the monitor offers impressive color reproduction and exceptional blacks, which together with a high contrast ratio provide a breathtaking visual experience. The 4K resolution with up to 240 Hz not only enables a smooth gaming experience, but also a detailed display of movies and creative work. Thanks to the fast response time and low input lag, the monitor is ideal for gaming without compromising on image quality.
The monitor also scores with a wide range of connection options, including HDMI 2.1, which makes it ideal for use with modern consoles and high-end PC graphics cards. The ergonomic adjustment options and elegant design fit seamlessly into any setup and ensure comfort even during longer usage sessions. Overall, the MSI MPG321URX QD-OLED offers a balanced overall package that is an outstanding choice for both professional applications and demanding gamers.
Conclusion
Unfortunately, the hymns of praise quickly fade away when you look at the current price. The MPG321URX costs a whopping 1,250 euros – making it a whole 50 euros more expensive than the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM. What’s more, it’s not even available on Geizhals. What is also striking is that even the Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P only costs €1,100. It even offers real UHBR20 via DisplayPort 2.1. If you’re willing to pay an extra 150 to 380 euros, you can get the MPG321URX, because the monitor isn’t bad. It’s just too expensive!
In my opinion, it’s worth taking a look at the MSI MAG321UPX for 880 euros (no USB-A ports and no KVM switch), the Gigabyte AORUS FO32U2 for 950 euros (all USB ports and KVM switch available) or the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 32″, which is available from 869 euros. If you don’t mind curved, you can also take a look at Dell. Maybe it could also be WOLED? The LG 32GS95UX-B has also fallen below the 1,000 euro mark and also offers 480 Hz Full HD. MSI unfortunately places the MPG321URX at the wrong price point, so I can’t recommend the monitor.
The monitor was provided to me by MSI without obligation – for testing purposes. There was no influence on the tests and results. There was also no compensation for expenses and no obligation to publish by MSI or anyone else.
