Asus presents a new version of its XG27AQDMGR monitor

Anyone who visited Gamescom 2025 this year was able to experience a lot: from long queues, exciting new game titles and expensive food to fresh hardware presented by various manufacturers. Perhaps some of you also discovered the new Asus monitor, which was presented as a revised version of the XG27AQDMGR. The first detailed information on this model is now available.

Compared to the previous versions, the basic specifications have not changed. The monitor still comes with a 26.5-inch WOLED panel measuring 590.42 x 333.72 millimeters and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The refresh rate is 240 Hz, the response time is 0.03 milliseconds and the peak brightness reaches up to 1300 nits with 99% DCI-P3 coverage. The color accuracy also remains at a high level with △E < 2. The connections include a DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB hub with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A ports. There is no integrated sound card, but there is a headphone connection. The power consumption is around 26.8 watts. The monitor also supports the two technologies AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and G-SYNC from NVIDIA.

However, some interesting new features have been added. For example, Asus uses a TrueBlack Glossy coating, which reduces reflections from ambient light by 38 percent compared to the previous version. This is a good advantage that is particularly noticeable in bright rooms. The OLED Care Pro suite is also used. A Neo proximity sensor ensures that the monitor automatically detects when the user moves away from the screen. In this case, the display is dimmed, which not only saves energy but also reduces the risk of burn-in effects.

Asus has not yet announced any further information. As a result, there are no new details on the possible price, and an approximate release date has not yet been revealed. Interested parties will therefore have to be patient until new information is revealed.
