Bambu Lab H2D AMS 2 Pro 3D printer in test – Two nozzles in long-term perspective

Test prints

Let’s finally get to the print results! We start, of course, with the well-known boat, printed from Geeetech HS-PLA Grey.

The GCode for this first one was already available on the printer and was processed within 21 minutes and 17 seconds.

This second one was sliced according to the speedboat rules and then printed in Ludicrous Mode in 26 minutes and 41 seconds. The heavy print head is definitely noticeable.

And finally, a 40 minute 28 second benchy, simply in the 0.20mm standard profile.

The H2D needed 1 hour and 27 minutes for the AIO test of Barcode3D, printed in Bambu PLA Matte Lemon Yellow. The overhang weakened a little at first, but then it was able to catch up again.

In about 1 hour and 16 minutes, the clearance fidget spinner was printed by Sci3D in Janbex PLA Blue, up to the 0.15mm test successfully.

My Z-Wobble test(Makerworld / Printables) took about 41 minutes and also shows perfect results.

The results of the Califlower from Vector3D made from Bambu PLA Matte Charcoal speak for themselves and are without the Vision Encoder. You really can’t complain.

And of course there are also a few “real” projects, such as this 8-Bay NAS from JorgeP.

Being able to print two filaments completely without purge waste in one object is really very practical.

There are a few small flaws here and there, but for the most part the print quality is really incredibly good. However, I have to be honest and say that in hindsight I don’t like the model so much and would have preferred to opt for a different casing. But that’s not the printer’s fault.

Printing the Pixel 10 Case from gleonard3 out of TPU 90A with the H2D is a bit of an adventure. Although there is an extra inlet for TPU on the back and a bypass to the print head, the filament path from the side holder is not quite optimal. The fact that there is a detailed guide and even an extra printable TPU holder speaks for itself.

I printed this Knitted Halloween Cat Ghost from Smoggy3D several times in different sizes and also in hollow, sometimes the object and the Prime Tower looked a bit messy.

But the next time everything was fine again, I couldn’t find a real reason for this.

A Halloween highlight were these two squid game masks from 3DXAV, which would have produced a catastrophic amount of purge waste on a 3D printer with just one nozzle. Again, I had to deal with a bit of stringing, but most of it could be removed with a lighter.
