ARC Raiders Update 1.3.0: Exploit closed, weapons disarmed and ducks everywhere

With the 1.3.0 update of ARC Raiders, Embark Studios is consistently tackling design gaps, exploits and inconsistent game mechanics. Released on November 20, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. German time, the almost 928 MB patch not only brings technical corrections, but also far-reaching balance adjustments. Particularly noticeable is a fixed exploit that allowed players to misuse barricades to get into restricted areas. This is now a thing of the past.

The biggest changes concern items, weapons, explosive damage and map logic. For example, the price and crafting recipes for the “Deadline” and “Launcher Ammo” items have been adjusted. The notoriously effective revolver “Venator” loses a good bit of its dominance due to reduced fire rate upgrades, while its weight has been doubled for better balance. Explosive weapons such as the “Hullcracker” have also been reworked: They now cause more targeted damage without destroying multiple hit zones across the board. This forces players to aim more precisely.

The patch also fixes a number of technical problems: Crashes when using proximity chat on AVX2-less PCs, invisible collisions after cannibalizing shredders and incorrect spawn points have been corrected. Particularly noteworthy is the new logic for the Shredder opponent: It now reacts more realistically to lure grenades, has a revised driving behavior with improved navigation and is less likely to get stuck on level geometry.

Various glitches have been fixed at map level, including clipping through walls with barricades and access to locked rooms without a key. The maps “Spaceport”, “Stella Montis” and “Blue Gate” in particular have been extensively reworked. Blocked views, false collisions and unfair spawn behavior are now a thing of the past. The audio component has also been adjusted: The volume of tinnitus and concussion effects during explosions has been reduced to increase game clarity. In the movement area, enemy units benefit from improved ground detection, which makes their behavior on sloping terrain more comprehensible.

In the arsenal area, the Aphelion and Stitcher weapons have been reworked. Aphelion tracer effects have been toned down to avoid blinding at range, while the drop chance of blueprints has been increased. The Stitcher now shows correct reload values across all upgrade levels. A charming detail at the end: Your raider refuge has been visually upgraded. Collectable decorative ducks no longer just end up on the shelf, but are now visibly scattered on the floor and even in the bed. Whether this means style or chaos is probably a matter of taste.

All in all, update 1.3.0 shows that Embark is not only reacting to acute exploits, but is also developing the game structurally. From balance fine-tuning to bug fixes at map and system level, the update looks like a step towards technical maturity and playful fairness.
