But closer than you think: Intel confirms the Arc Battlemage BMG-G31 graphics card in new software update

Rumors about the release of the Intel Arc Battlemage BMG-G31 have been circulating for some time now, claiming that this new card will bring more performance and significantly more power and will be launched on the market as early as the fourth quarter of this year, but so far this has remained just a rumor. Now the graphics card appears to be official, as the American company Intel has listed the new card as part of a graphics driver update in its latest VTune Profiler software, along with various other information, confirming that the card is now supported.

The card, rumored to be called the Arc B770, was revealed in the latest release alongside the Core Ultra 3 CPUs “Panther Lake”.

What is known so far is that the card is expected to have 32 Xe2 cores. It will be equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, which is connected via a 256-bit interface. This is a big difference compared to the B580, which works with a maximum of 12 GB via a 192-bit interface and is intended to compete with current models from other manufacturers. It is quite possible that the BMG-G31 will be presented at CES 2026 or at least in the immediate vicinity, as the Panther Lake will also be presented there. The fact that both products are listed by Intel at the same time makes this assumption at least plausible. The CES (or Consumer Electronics Show) is a major consumer electronics trade fair in Las Vegas, where manufacturers from all over the world present their innovations and technologies. The next CES will take place from January 6 to Friday, January 9, 2026.

All in all, we can assume or at least hope that Intel will publish more information about the graphics card next year, even if it may not be a topic at CES. This should be particularly interesting for customers, as it could make the competition between the major manufacturers even more exciting. So it remains to be seen what the future will bring.
